8 Camp Themes for Summer Fun!

Please Note: children's ages refer to years and months, separated by a decimal point (for example, 2.9 is a 2 year, 9 month old child).

Morning Summer Camp for Children 1.9 - 2.9 years old
9:15 am - 11:15 am (Parent participation is required)
$165.00 per child

June 25 - June 29..........Beaches & Sunshine
Splash! Explore seashells, starfish, whales and other creatures that live under the sea. Create sand pictures, decorate fish, and make sandwiches for a pretend picnic at the beach. Every child receives a water toy to take home.

August 13 - August 17..........Cars, Boats, Planes & Trains
Vroom! Vroom! Beep! Beep! Kids will make pretend race cars and freight trains. Explore things that fly and things that float. Learn about cars, boats, planes and trains through art, construction projects, cooking activities and science fun! Every child receives a friction vehicle to take home.

Morning Summer Camp for Children 2.9 - 4.9 years old
9:15 am - 12:00 pm (Drop-off service is available)
$175.00 per child

July 9 - July 13..........Back to the Farm
Plant fruit and vegetable seeds, make jam, bake bread, churn butter, square dance, dye wool and taste some home-made ice cream. Take a ride in a wheelbarrow and pretend to be farm animals and farm hands. Every child will decorate and take home a bandana.

July 16 - July 20.........Kid's Café
Young chefs will plan a menu, make grocery lists, wash produce, set a table, take orders, make their own spice blends, purchase fresh ingredients from the Farmer's Market and cook and eat their own snacks while running the Kid’s Café! Every child will receive a daily recipe along with a chef's hat to decorate.

July 30 - August 3.......... Space Station
5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Blast off! Take a seat in our pretend rocket and explore outer space! Learn about astronauts, stars and planets. We'll build a space station, paint a moon landscape, and build friendly aliens. Investigate Mars Mud, and make delicious astronaut treats! Take home an alien, rocketship and astronaut figurines.

August 6 - August 10..........Mayan Mysteries - A Spanish Immersion Camp
Strap on your scientist's backpack and head back into time to explore the ancient cultures of the Maya, Aztec and Inca in this Spanish immersion camp. Using traditional stories and repetitive patterns, this camp will expose your child to the Spanish language through play activities, song, dance and music. Kids will use an archaeologist’s toolkit to uncover some ancient artifacts and build a temple out of “stone” blocks. Each child will receive an ancient fossil. Previous experience with Spanish not required.

August 20 - August 24..........Land of Fairy Tales
Become a prince or princess, goblin or troll in this magical fairy tale week. Children will decorate royal crowns and create fairy wings, magic wands and tabletop castles. Through make-believe play we can even create our own fairytales! Every child receives a jeweled crown to take home.

August 27 - August 31.......... Construction Zone
Get ready to dig, mix and build! Create buildings, roads, and whole cities with construction blocks, diggers, front-loaders and bulldozers! Dress up in construction safety clothes and use tools, mix "cement" and make 3D sculptures. We’ll pack our own lunchboxes, too! Every child will take home a toy construction tool.

Afternoon Summer Camp for Children 3.0 - 4.9 years old
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (Drop-off service is available)
$180.00 per child

August 20 - August 24.......... Construction Zone

$15 per child per day
Children will eat a packed lunch from home and have supervised free play in the museum.
