AFRICAN MUSIC & MOVEMENT
Mondays, 10:00-10:30am

Join Catherine of Cheza Nami (Swahili for “Come Play with me”) in this active class exploring the sounds and songs of Africa through music, dance and play. Children will develop rhythmic awareness and practice creative motion through dancing, drumming and song. Learning Swahili words and playing percussion instruments from Africa add to the fun!

ART WITH A SCIENCE TWIST
Wednesdays, 10:00-10:30am

This exciting new class incorporates early math and science into hands-on, sensory art activities. Children will conduct simple science experiments and explore those same concepts with creativity through a variety of art materials and media.

BREAKFAST CLUB
Thursdays, 10:00-10:30am

In this hands-on cooking class, children will learn how to make nutritious and easy recipes for breakfast, while learning about kitchen chemistry, diet and nutrition. Recipes will include omelets, yogurt parfaits, breakfast burritos and more, and children get to eat their creations at the end of every class!

CHELSEA MORNING MUSIC
Fridays, 10:00-10:30am

Join experienced musician Chelsea in a highly interactive music class celebrating spirit, animals, community and daily life. Toddlers will sing and dance using a variety of materials such as scarves, egg shakers, puppets and more!

NEW CLASS!
Young Scientists

Tuesdays, 10:00 am - 10:30 pm
Beginning this month, teacher Gagan, a biochem major at UC Berkeley, will lead some fun and exciting hands-on science investigations just right for little ones through December 16. Magnets, static electricity, crickets, bubbles, light and mirrors, and more.

Tot Art with a Twist
Wednesdays, 10:00 am - 10:30 pm
Teacher Rachel will lead Habitot’s popular Tot Art class that incorporates early math and science skills into hands-on, sensory art activities. Children will explore their unique creativity and self-expression through a variety of art materials and media – including clay, collage, recycled objects, painting and “messy play.”

Let's Do Lunch!
Thursdays, 10:00 am - 10:30 pm
In this hands-on cooking class with Teacher Samantha, children will learn how to make nutritious and easy recipes for lunch, while learning about kitchen chemistry, diet and nutrition. CAMPS for TOTS

 

Winter Camp for Tots

Winter Camp Dates: December 19 - 23 and December 26 - 30
Winter Camp Times: 9:15 am - 1:00 pm
Ages: 3 - 5 year olds
$30 per day; sign up for 5 or more days, pay $25 per day
Class size limited to 12 students
Parent participation NOT required
Brown bag lunch is included

Curbside drop-off and pick-up service available.

Weekday, Drop-off Activity Camp
Each weekday morning, , drop-off children at Habitot's classroom annex for hands-on play and learning celebrating winter!

Activities are all led by experienced Habitot instructors. Children will explore winter-themed activities, including cooking, art, science, storytelling, movement and music. Half-day camps are offered in December. Sign up for one day or all the days! Actual camp days vary each year.

  • Build sugar snow castles
  • Bake gingerbread cookies
  • Build an igloo
  • Dance like snowflakes in a winter wonderland parade

Cancellation Policy for Winter Camps

Refunds:
Camp fees are fully refundable until December 15. After that date and until December 22nd, 50% of the camp fee is refundable. Once winter camp is in session, there are no refunds. Refunds are not given for "no-shows" or absences during winter camp.

Absences:
There are no make-up camps or refunds for student absence. Refunds will be given for instructor absence due to illness.

Summer Day Camps

June - August, 2011

Morning Summer Camps - 2.9 - 4.9 years
includes lunch hour 12-1pm

Afternoon Summer Camps - 3 - 5 years
includes exclusive museum visit

All camps under $10 per hour!
$185 per child; $175 for members
Curbside Drop-off & Pick-up Service Available

Ten weeks of summer fun for tots at Habitot! Each week has a different theme. The half-day morning programs for 2.9 to 5 year olds begin in June and run through August. The last two weeks of August offer both a morning and afternoon program for a full day of summer camp! Sign up for one week or many. Enrollment is limited.

Note: children's ages refer to years and months, separated by a decimal point (for example, 2.9 is a 2 year, 9 month old child).

Spring Day Camps

Dates: April 9-13

Camps limited to 12 students,

A half-day, drop-off activity camp exploring Spring themes like baby animals, new buds, sunshine, rain and puddles through fun, hands-on art, math, cooking, storytelling, music, and science activities. Camps are led by experienced Habitot instructors. Sign up for one day or the all five days! Actual camp days vary each year.
