Habitot's Early Childhood Safety Campaign
Habitot’s Early Childhood Safety Campaign seeks to
address the high number of unintentional accidents among very
young children -- “the biggest threat to the life and
health of children one to six years old”, according
to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

“The museum’s mission is to ensure that young
children reach their potential in learning, creativity and
socialization. Keeping children healthy and safe throughout
the preschool years is basic to that mission.”

Habitot's Early Literacy Campaign
Reading readiness skills begin long before kindergarten.
Our Early Literacy Program helps young children get a jump
on reading by encouraging parents and caregivers to make reading
aloud a part of every day. Special events feature early childhood
book sales and book distribution to special needs and low-income
families. Events include storytelling, puppet shows, in-museum
library card registration and mini-workshops for parents and
caregivers on making reading-aloud exciting.
Additional Activities and Classes for
