See Habitot's 13th Annual Art Show

ABC 7Live logoThough August 23, you can see stunning examples of preschoolers' art work created here at Habitot on display in one of five community locations, from the Berkeley Civic offices to the San Leandro Public Library.

All works on display are for sale - contact Lauren at 510-647-1111 x 31 or dassoc@habitot.org to make arrangements. All proceeds are 100% tax-deductible.

Thank you to the Open Circle Foundation, Berkeley Civic Arts Commission and the Alameda Civic Arts Commission for their support, and to all the venues for hosting the show. Mayor Tom Bates of Berkeley said he " especially appreciates having children's art work next to the adult works on display in our civic offices."

Local Corporations Sponsor Two Free Admission Days for Fall

Preschool Teachers Make a Difference Awards banner Thanks to Union Bank and Wells Fargo Bank, Habitot will be able to offer two free admission days this fall, for Indigenous People's Day on Sunday, October 9, and Gingerbread House Day, December 17, respectively. Mark your calendars and plan to invite friends!

These popular events have a thirteen-year history at the Museum and their unique and exciting programming will delight adults and children alike. We continuously seek Free Admission Days sponsorship to help Habitot reach a broad audience and serve those who might not be able to visit otherwise.

Are We "Clean" Enough? ~ Seeking Your Input

Preschool Teachers Make a Difference Awards banner Despite our considerable efforts with daily janitorial care, availability of hand-sanitizers, special air filters and periodic volunteer events known as "Spit 'n Polish" Days, we often receive criticism about the Museum's cleanliness. We are asking for your feedback and constructive suggestions for how we could do a better job. Keep in mind we see over 100 people a day (more in winter) and our financial resources are very limited. We aim for a high standard, though.

Please contact hcmops@gmail.com with your ideas. Thanks!
