Habitot News
Annual Survey

Tell us how we're doing! Our Post-2008 Member and Visitor Survey takes just 5 minutes - and participating enters you in a drawing for a free Family Circle Membership ($150 value). Our Member Survey is vital to helping us allocate resources, add or alter programs, and communicate to our funders how we are needed by the community!

The survey will be released the first week of February to all those receiving this newsletter, or you can click this link today to get started. http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB228S2K8MEGD

The emails of all participants in the survey will be entered into a drawing for a
six-person Family Circle membership ($150 value) which includes reciprocal museum admission. (If you hold a current membership, your expiration date will be extended one year). Participate in the survey by March 1 to be included in the drawing.

Calling All Volunteers

Volunteers build strong programs at Habitot, and help us conserve cash in tight times. We are grateful to Elaine Lee who comes each week to update library books and other resources in our Family Resource Center. Paul Withrow, Tyrah West and Susan Snyder all volunteer their time and talent once a week to lead fun and educational activities for visitors. Other volunteers enter database records or sew costumes or come in to help decorate the museum for special events and celebrations.

Habitot needs you! And there’s a place for every talent here.

It is especially critical for us to find those with time and expertise (grandparents, professional colleagues?) who want to “give back” to a successful nonprofit organization and who would consider joining Habitot’s Board of Directors. We are seeking nominees for Board members to help Habitot build organizational strength and resilience. As a board leader, you could help guide Habitot’s growth toward a larger and better facility for all the East Bay’s children and families. Please see our website for descriptions of volunteer opportunities. http://www.habitot.org/hab/contact_board_apply.htm

If you’d like to talk further about what board participation involves, please contact Executive Director, Gina Moreland at 510-647-1111 x 11 habitot@lmi.net
