Four days of performances and events to celebrate the influence and culture of African Americans. Master storyteller, Muriel Johnson will tell
African-American folktales from 11 am-12 pm on Saturday. Guy Gash’s Sharp Five Jazz Band will perform at 11:30 am on Sunday. Special daily activities honoring African-American culture include an exhibition of stories, poetry, and art and a scavenger hunt focused on African-American history. Throughout the week, families are invited to add special pieces to Habitot’s community quilt. |
