Habitot News

New Website Launches in February
Habitot's in-house graphic designers Kat Klakus and Samantha Spangler, along with executive director, Gina Moreland, have been burning the midnight oil for months to completely revamp Habitot's website, which dated from 2004. Shortbird Studios has completed the complicated programming for the new site. Take a look later this month (remember to refresh your browser) and tell us what you think!

Themes Set for 2012 Summer Camp
The dates and themes are set for Habitot's annual summer camp program for children 2.9 to 5 years. Week-long, drop-off camps help young children experience a preschool-type setting with twelve other children in a safe and familiar setting. Art, cooking, music, science, dress-up and free play with experienced teachers in our Classroom Annex. read more

Annual Campaign for Habitot 2011 Succeeds
More than $23,000 has been raised from 66 donors during Habitot's fall, 2011 annual fundraising campaign, including matching gifts. These funds will go a long way toward replacing the Alameda County First 5 grant we had for four years to support family engagement programs for the most vulnerable families - teen parents, homeless families, special needs children and others. Thanks to a new grant from the Trio Foundation, read more
