Activity

Dragon Puppet

Kid make Dragon Puppet at Habitot

Materials

  • Small white or brown paper lunch bag
  • Construction paper
  • Pom Poms
  • Googly Eyes
  • Markers
  • Tissue Paper
  • Pipe Cleaners
  • Glue
  • Paintbrush
  • Small pie pan or dish for glue
  • (Optional) Tape

Directions
  1. To create the dragon face, draw four circles touching each other on a piece of colored construction paper (like two number 8's side by side). Cut around the outside of the circles to make the dragon face.
  2. Tear or cut the tissue paper into small pieces.
  3. Let your child glue the dragon face onto the bottom of the paper bag.
  4. Let your child glue pieces of tissue paper onto the sides of the paper bag to resemble scales of the dragon.
  5. Let your child glue eyes and pompoms onto the face of the dragon, and add any other features with markers.
  6. Let dry then insert your hand inside the bag to use as a hand puppet.
