• Styrofoam eggs (available at craft stores)
• Tissue paper in spring colors
• White glue
• Paintbrush
1. Let your children tear tissue paper into small pieces.
2. Dilute the glue with a little water so that it is thin like milk.
3. Place one piece of tissue paper at a time on the Styrofoam egg and paint it
with some thinned glue until it sticks.
4. Put additional pieces of tissue paper painted with a bit of glue in order to
cover the egg – it’s best to have the pieces overlap.
5. Finish by brushing a thin coat of glue on top of the entire egg and let it
dry overnight.
(note: you can use real eggs instead of Styrofoam; they just require careful handling for small children. Poke a hole in one end and let the yolk and the white drain out. Let egg dry overnight before painting with tissue paper.)
