Move and Groove!
Wednesdays, 10:45 - 11:45 am
Toddlers will sing, wiggle, twist, and whirl to a variety of tunes. Through music, movement and instrument play, toddlers will explore the space around them and discover new ways to move and control their bodies. Toddlers will also learn the basic concepts of melody, rhythm, beat, tempo, rhyme and improvisation. |
Clay Play
Fridays, 10:45 - 11:45 am
Clay is the perfect medium for children to be creative and build physical skills. Children will learn the basics of working with potter's clay and will make a coil pot, small bowls and plates to take home. All works will be glazed and fired in our kiln and returned to the children. Fee includes all materials. |
NATURE WALKS WITH TOTS - FREE! • 1- 4 years old
A Habitot- Hooked on Nature Collaboration
Part of the Let's Play Outside:
Play Days Around the Bay Initiative
Fridays, September 25 & October 23
10:30 to 11:30 am
Take your toddler on a walk through UC-Berkeley's meadows, streams and groves accompanied by Wendolyn Bird, Director of Tender Tracks Tales and Trails, an outdoor preschool, and Co-Director of Children, Nature and You.
You'll explore the natural wilds of UC Berkeley's campus listening for the wind in the trees, finding living creatures, linking arms around trees, and watching leaves float downstream. Through experiential learning you will discover many ways to instill a love of nature in your child and incorporate outdoor experiences into your daily life that are so important in early childhood.
Every family receives a set of Nature Circles Cards. Class size is limited. Register in advance for meeting place details for one or both walks.
