4th Annual Habitot Children's Museum's Preschool Teachers Make a Difference! Awards - Nominate a preschool teacher April 16 - May 31, 2012.

Do YOU know a preschool teacher or child care worker who deserves to be recognized for their great work with kids, families, and communities?

Ten winners will receive:
  • A $100 school supply gift certificate
  • A Folkmanis puppet
  • A FREE preschool field trip to Habitot (up to 15 students ~a $130 value)
  • A Habitot annual Family Membership (a $140 value, which may be offered at a fundraising auction or used personally)
Each of the winning nominators will receive:
  • A Habitot 5-Visit Pass (up to 3 people per visit; an $80 value)
Who can nominate a teacher? Classroom parents, school directors and colleagues.
Who is eligible? Nominations are open to all preschool teachers working a minimum of 30 hours per week in a licensed, center-based or a family childcare setting in any of the nine Bay Area counties. Nominees must have taught in the field of early childhood education for a minimum of three years.
Who selects the winning teachers? An independent panel of experts (see below) will review the nominations and make recommendations.
When will winners be announced? Winners will be announced in July, and an awards ceremony will be held on September 24th.
