Summer Camp at Habitot Children's Museum

(Berkeley, CA) Tuesday, July 10, 2006–
Play, learn, and grow this summer at Camp Habitot - the camp just for preschoolers! Toddlers, 2 to 5 years old, get ready for preschool when they play with other children, take part in circle time, and use their imaginations by performing in a circus, casting dinosaur footprints, and building a space station on the moon!

Families can choose from eight week-long programs with fun, interactive themes and activities. Each week includes time for free play with toys and puzzles, circle time, dramatic play with costumes and props, visits to the museum, cooking, storytelling, art, music and dance instruction. Our creative and energetic staff conducts morning or afternoon sessions. The 6:1 ratio ensures that our inventive teachers meet each child's needs.

Programs begin July 10 and run through August 28. Camp fees range from $165 to $195 per week. Register by phone, email, or in person. See you this summer at Camp Habitot!

Habitot Children's Museum is located on 2065 Kittredge Street in downtown Berkeley. For updates on events and programs, please call (510) 647-1111 or visit Habitot's website at www.habitot.org.

Habitot Children's Museum is the East Bay's award-winning hands-on discovery museum for young children. Its mission is to nurture and enrich the lives of young children, their families, and the adults who care for them by providing an environment for early childhood learning and exploration, parenting education and community outreach. Habitot ensures its accessibility for all Bay Area families through its Family Outreach Program that brings more than 8,000 low-income and at-risk children into the museum every year through scholarships, subsidized memberships and free admissions days.

More than 500,000 people have enjoyed the museum's interactive exhibits, art programs and classes since its opening in 1998. Not just a place to entertain young children, Habitot provides resources and support for early childhood learning, parenting success, and community connection.
