Our Car Seat Check last Saturday found that only 1 of 39 car seats were installed correctly. Families can make sure their child is safe by coming to our last Car Seat Check of the year. The details of our event are enclosed below.

4 out of 5 car seats are installed incorrectly and unintentional accidents among very young children are "the biggest threat to the life and health of children one to six years old," according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, officers from the Berkeley Police Department and other law enforcement agencies will conduct a car seat safety check at the Allston Way Parking Garage in downtown Berkeley (on Allston between Harold Way and Shattuck Ave). Parking will be validated by Habitot and other giveaways from State Farm are included. This event is generously sponsored by Sate Farm Insurance.
