(Berkeley, CA) January 19, 2009—
Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as we honor Dr. King's work on behalf of peace and equality. Kids and families can add to our Hope & Peace Wall, highlighting Dr. King's accomplishments, and check out children's art about hope and dreams. In our Art Studio, children age 0 – 6 can create and decorate their own Peace Medals to present to family and friends. These medals are meaningful gifts for loved ones who have shown great patience and thoughtfulness, or have been helpful in resolving a conflict.
Stories read about Martin Luther King, Jr., and about respect and love for all people at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm in the Multicultural Reading Tent.
Special Holiday Hours: 9:30am – 4:30pm Monday, 19th only! Regular admission rates apply (Children $8, Adults $7).
