![]() |
(Berkeley, CA) June & July, 2010 – June Saturday Space Series (June 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th) Every Saturday in June at 10:00 am, guest educators from Lawrence Hall of Science, Chabot Space and Science Center, The Center for Science Education at the UC Berkeley Space Sciences Lab, and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific will be at Habitot teaching parents to share space science with their children through fun, hands-on activities. These expert educators will share tips on how to spur children's curiosity, and parents will learn how to share science with even the youngest children in a developmentally appropriate, stress-free way. July Outer Space Month (Daily) Every day in July at 11:00 am, an experienced Habitot educator will present a space-themed activity to visitors. That’s 31 free drop-in activities for children, exploring moon craters, comets, friendly aliens, planets, stars and much more. Plus, there will be activities for every interest, including art, literacy, science, math and hands-on experiments. After enjoying a speaker in the June Space series or an Outer Space activity in July, visitors can 'blast off' for dramatic play in the popular Rocket Ship exhibit, at Habitot through the summer. All June and July activities are free with regular museum admission ($8.50 per person).
