Access for a Wide Audience
Low-income families may be eligible for a limited number of scholarships for free memberships.
The memberships provide unlimited FREE admissions for parents and children living in the same household for one year from the date of award. Photo ID may be requested at the front desk on your visit.
The application form is available at Habitot's Front Desk or can be requested at the email below. Qualifying documents include SSI forms, WIC, Food Stamps, income tax statements, enrollment in Head Start schools, homeless shelter residence, teen parent status and hospital/pediatrician/therapist/court referrals. FREE and Discounted Group Visits
Children and families visiting on Head Start and state-supported preschool field trip groups, as well as group visits arranged through a large number of agencies ,are free or discounted for low-income families. Contact our Family Outreach Coordinator to schedule a group visit at (510) 647-1111 x15 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
FREE Passes through Libraries
Habitot participates in the Discover & Go Program providing discount family admission passes in selected communities.
In addition, libraries in local low-income neighborhoods may hold a permanent Habitot pass in their collections which can be checked out with a library card. Check list of participating libraries here.
