All week in the Art Studio, decorate eggs and other spring inspired projects using ribbons, stickers and fun fabrics. Last week to Make-a-Plate (children’s drawing embedded on a plate) for mom/grandma in time for Mother’s Day in May ($20).

A half-day, drop-off activity camp. Explore Spring themes like baby animals, new buds, sunshine, rain and puddles through fun, hands-on art, math, cooking, storytelling, music, and science activities. $42/day or $200/week.

Mamas & Papas (LGBTQ Families) with Our Family Coalition
5:30–7:30 pm
Join our free, drop-in support group for gay and lesbian families and their 0-5 year old children, presented in partnership with Our Family. While parents engage in lively and supportive conversations facilitated by Habitot and Our Family staff in our classroom annex (Habitot, Too), children play (with supervision) in the Museum.

Caregiver Café
10:00–11:00 am
Share some coffee and pastries, connect with other caregiving professionals and talk about the fun and challenges you face in raising others' children. Habitot staff will occupy your charges at nearby tables with art activities and puzzles while you take part in a facilitated group discussion. We hope to bring in outside experts to share their expertise on topics of interest. Free museum admission for all attendees following Caregiver Cafe let's you put new ideas into action.

Habitot's 17th Birthday Celebration - 17 on 17!
5:30 pm-8:30 pm
Family fun night celebration of Habitot's 17th birthday! Come in pajamas! Enjoy the award-winning performance of Pacha's Pajamas at 7 pm! And for Earth Day Month, we also have Compton the Compost Puppet joining Habitot for adventure storytelling with Folkmanis Puppets. Special art, treasure hunts, door prizes and other surprise activities. Appetizers, adult beverages, punch and mini cupcakes from our wonderful friends at Cakes4Kids will be served.

Foster Family Fun Day

Habitot, a hands-on discovery museum for 0-5 year old children, opens its doors for a special exclusive and FREE event just for foster, kinship and adoptive families. Children of all ages (including siblings) are welcome. Spring Dancing Classes - Hip Stix
FREE in the museum
10:30 am–11:15 am
Hip Stix gets your tots and preschoolers hippin' and hoppin' by introducing basic rhythm, funky free movement, and original kid friendly raps and chants. Using rhythm sticks, your tyke will explore preschool basics such as the alphabet, shapes, colors, and numbers through the language we all can understand, music! Hip Stix creator, Alicia Langlais-Himelstein, is an experienced pilates and dance fitness instructor, and has over 12 years of training in ballet and modern, and 5 years of folkloric and hip-hop dance.
