Make gooey slime and fizzing bubbles, build ice towers, mix colors and cook up scrumptious snacks! Scientific investigation in children begins by observing, asking questions and experimenting in order to learn about the natural world around them. Children will love looking at insects, discovering scale and balance, playing with magnets, making mini rockets and more. All children will take home a bag of gak. For 2.9–4.9 years, $200/week; $195/week, members/pass holder.

State Farm Insurance is once again sponsoring Habitot's annual "Early Childhood Safety Campaign" which will launch with a FREE car seat inspection event on Saturday, July 12,
10 am - 12 pm.

Making Transitions Easier for Preschoolers
FREE Parenting Workshops with registration

As parents we need to help our children manage transitions and change. Transitions can be major shifts, like entering preschool or welcoming a sibling. This workshop will help parents:

  • Learn strategies for handling preschooler’s big and small transitions
  • Understand and respond to the feelings that naturally arise during transitions
  • Improve parents' and children's abilities to regulate reactions while enhancing the family's resilience and self-reflection.

Construction Zone - Morning & Afternoon Summer Camps
Morning Camp: 9:00 am–1:00 pm
Afternoon Camp: 2:00 am–5:45 pm
Get ready to dig, mix and build! Create buildings, roads, and whole cities with construction blocks, diggers, front-loaders and bulldozers! Dress up in construction worker safety clothes and use tools, mix “cement" and make 3D sculptures. Every child will take home a toy construction vehicle. National Lemonade Day
9:30 am–12:30 pm
Come make lemonade to celebrate national lemonade day. Donated lemons welcome! Make a invisible ink drawings and crazy watercolor paintings with lemon juice in the Art Studio.

Our friends at the Tibetan Aid Project welcome you hear children’s tales of “positive thoughts and actions” highlighting the power of compassion, love, wisdom, and kindness.

Pizza Fridays!
11:30 am–12:30 pm
Our friends at Papa John’s (2222 Shattuck Ave.) will deliver child-sized cheese slices on sale for $1 each. Deliveries every 15 minutes as needed. Proceeds benefit the Museum.

Parents’ Night Out
5:30–9:30 pm
