Rainbow Family Night (LGBTQ Families) with Our Family Coalition

Join our free, drop-in with registration support group for gay and lesbian families and their 0-5 year old children, presented in partnership with Our Family. While parents engage in lively and supportive conversations facilitated by Habitot and Our Family staff in our classroom annex (Habitot, Too), children play (with supervision) in the Museum.

Lunar New Year is a time of family reunion, food, music and dance. There will be an exciting Dragon parade through the museum in which children can participate. Children can create their own paper dragon puppets in the Art Studio.

Encourage the do-it-yourself mindset and come build, invent, design and create something! Projects are designed for 4-7 year olds, younger children with adult assistance. Supports STEM learning.

This FREE workshop is for parents and family members who want to learn about the transition from Early Start services when a child approaches three. Parents and providers will learn what kind of supports and services are available to preschoolers 3-5 years old with developmental delays, social-emotional needs and disabilities. Visit from the Dentist!
10:00 am–12:00 pm
Come meet and ask Dr. Nick, a real tooth doctor, and learn about keeping your child's healthy smile! You can also visit the tooth fairy, practice brushing, and each child can make and decorate giant toothbrushes in the Art Studio! Helpers from Dr. Nicholas Ching's pediatric dental office in El Cerrito will share information about how to keep children's teeth healthy and give each child a special teeth-friendly goodie bag.
