Helping Prevent Injuries and Accidents

Habitot’s Early Childhood Safety Campaign seeks to address the high number of unintentional accidents among very young children—“the biggest threat to the life and health of children one to six years old”, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

If you are interested in sponsoring future Safety Campaigns—please contact us at develp@habitot.org.

2013 Safety Events - FREE admission days!

Thanks to State Farm for sponsoring Habitot's 2013 Early Childhood Safety Campaign, all events: Car Seat Checks and Safety Days are free admission events.

Join us for our annual safety campaign to help prevent early childhood accidents and injuries. Community experts from the Red Cross, Berkeley Public Health, and others will be at Habitot to demonstrate ways to keep young kids safe including poison control, earthquake safety, non-toxic homes, toddler helmet fittings and sales, stranger safety ID cards and more. We will also create personalized ID cards for children.
