Habitot Children’s Museum received almost 100 nominations for outstanding teachers to be recognized by the Bay Area Preschool Teacher Awards this September. All nominated teachers receive an award, and ten finalist teachers will be selected by an independent panel of judges and announced August 1, 2016. Each finalist will receive: gift certificates for teaching supplies, Folkmanis puppets, class field trips, recognition, and an award for display at a public ceremony on September 26, 2016. Habitot’s mission is to help parents and caregivers raise curious, creative and confident children with hands-on exhibits and programs to focus exclusively on early childhood, ages 0-5. Habitot participates in the Association of Children’s Museum’s program, “Museum’s For All,” which accepts EBT cards and ensures that all children may enjoy museums regardless of their income.
