Mobile Museum Reaches the East Bay!
During the pandemic, and after the sale of our long-term museum space to developers in 2021, Habitot launched a Mobile Museum to continue serving our audience of families with young children with enriching play and learning experiences and much-needed social interaction. Events have been presented in more than 40 outdoor parks and community locations across the East Bay and almost 13,000 people have participated. Mobile Museum events for 2025 are now underway!
While its search for a permanent home continues, Habitot was able to open a temporary indoor space on Bay Street, Emeryville from 2023-24. More than 25,000 people visited our Rocketship and Mission Control, Little Town exhibits, Art Studio, Maker Lab and Infant-Toddler area.
Your donations keep Habitot going as we continue to provide community programs while we search for our New Place to Grow.

Annual Giving

- Make a one-time gift, or start a recurring monthly donation of any amount that fits your budget. Recurring gifts give the gift of predictable income which is so important for an organization also relying on grants.

- Donate a car to help fund Habitot. Car Donation Services will take care of all the details, including picking up your vehicle.

- Dedicate 100% of your gift to expanding our services to our community during the pandemic and improving Habitot for reopening when the pandemic is over.
- Send you a letter with our deepest thanks and a tax receipt. Donations to Habitot Children’s Museum are tax deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the Federal Tax Code. (Prospective donors may also request copies of the agency’s federal and state tax exemption letters).
- Keep the tax-deduction of your gift at its maximum by not sending you goods or services that would reduce it unless you request otherwise.
