Habitot Children’s Discovery Museum is located at 2065 Kittredge Street, at Shattuck Avenue in downtown Berkeley, one block from the downtown Berkeley BART station.
Driving via I-80 – take the University Avenue exit, travel east toward the hills, turn right on Shattuck Avenue and right on Kittredge Street.
Driving via Hwy. 24/13 – take the Berkeley/Hwy. 13 exit, which becomes Tunnel Road/Ashby Avenue, turn right on Shattuck Avenue and left on Kittredge Street. Kittredge intersects Shattuck four blocks south of University Avenue.
Metered Parking:
“Premium Meter Zone” $3.25/hour for 2 hours.
“Value” Meter Zone $2.00/hour for 4 hours.
Credit cards accepted in kiosks. Metered parking is FREE on Sundays but not on all holidays. NOTE: Meter maids are attentive.

Allston Street Garage: mid-block on Allston, between Shattuck Avenue and Milvia Street; $2.50 hr. Enter Habitot’s building through the mid-block alleyway across the street from the Garage entrance, marked by blue arrow pointing to Habitot. Take the elevator to the lower level.
Library Gardens Garage: on Kittredge Street West of Habitot’s main entrance, between Milvia Street and Harold Way; $2.50 per hour
Oxford Garage: on Kittredge Street East of Habitot’s main entrance, on the other side of Shattuck Avenue. $2.50 per hour
Center Street Garage: this is the City’s Parking Garage, mid-block on Center Street between Shattuck Avenue and Milvia Street; $1.50 – $2.00 hour. Note: the Center Street Garage has a flat rate of $1.50 if exiting by 11:00 am
